Other activities of humanitarian aid in Za’atari
The attention given to the Syrian disabled refugees in Za’atari is performed through a physiotherapy and rehabilitation clinic located in the camp. This clinic has been visited in 2015 by several personalities: Stephen O’Brien, United Nations Emergency Relief Coordinator, on 19th September, Hans Peter Lenz, Swiss ambassador in Jordan, on 6th October; and Soledad Becerril Bustamante, Ombudswoman in Spain, on 21st October. These visits have allowed not only making known the FPSC work, but also having a direct contact with the population and becoming aware of the needs of those who are receiving treatment in the clinic. Other noteworthy activities in the area of humanitarian aid in Za’atari have been the Inclusive Theater, that have been possible thanks to the work of the involved volunteers, and that has been aimed to children between 8 and 16 with and without disabilities; and the participation in the comprehensive Interinstitutional Event “Kullona”, organized during June, September and December in order to raise awareness among the community on the services and activities that are offered to people with disabilities, promote the inclusion and the participation of disabled people and establish a day of inclusive and funny activities
