The FPSC Foundation is a private, non-profitable institution that has been working since 1987 to promote human, social and economic development in a more agreeable way to people’s dignity, with concern to the cultural identity of different folks and peoples. Its philosophy is grounded on a “small, agile and independent” organization model, which enables to strengthen and capitalize the accomplished work and face future challenges with higher management capacity, improved resource optimization and better cost economy. It places individuals at the core of its activities, as main characters of the time they live in and sees education as the only real engine of change. It is, since June 2001, a certified Non-Governmental Organization and has been recognized since 2004 with the General Consultative Status by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Furthermore, it has been qualified since 2005 by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and meets all the control and transparency requirements of the Spanish NGOD Coordinator in the exercise of its functions. The FPSC also has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Office of the European Commission (ECHO) and a formal agreement with FAO.
