Latin-American Forum
In 2016, the FPSC has continued organizing meetings, more speci�ically seven of them with journalists and diplomats in Rome in order to address the current situation in LatinAmerica, thanks to the Latin-America Forum created in 2009.
Awareness Raising Days
The FPSC has participated in the IEB Solidario’s 10th edition in April in order to spread FPSC’s social implication, its projects and the possible ways of becoming part of its volunteer programs. After that, it also took part in the experts’ meeting entitled “Participation, children’s rights and new technologies”, promoted by the El Puerto de Santa María’s Town Hall, and set up by the Fundación Márgenes y Vínculos, held in this town on May 19th and 20th. Likewise, it has put on several informal meetings to make the situation of minorities in the Middle East public, one of them counting with the testimony of Mgs. Audo, Chaldean Bishop of Aleppo (Syria).
Exhibitions
In January, at the José María Luelmo Civil Center in Valladolid, the FPSC organized an exhibition in order to make the situation of disabled people in the Middle East public, specially of those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Syria. Other initiatives have aimed to raise awareness among young people about the importance of protecting the planet and its resources from a human rights approach, specifically on international right to water and sanitation. This environmental education program, given in collaboration with the organization International Cooperation, has consisted of an exhibition with educative panels on the climate change in schools and high schools of the Community of Madrid.
